Want to Quit your 9-5? Try Ecommerce

Since a number of people are still working from home, there is an aspect of work/life balance that is already struggling to be maintained. You might hate your job and want to do something else. If this sounds like you, Michael Elliott of EJM Media might have a solution. After dropping out of college twice to avoid the traditional route of education and labor, he started something new. Elliott managed to build an ecommerce site with Amazon FBA, ultimately failing the first few times. After a few attempts it stuck. Now he is CEO and owner of his own ecommerce scaling company called EJM Media that teaches everyday people how to take control of ecommerce and Amazon FBA to help them have the financial freedom they desire.

Financial freedom was one of the reasons that Michael decided to try ecommerce in the first place. One was the money, but another was his concern about what would dominate his time.“I was motivated to stay out of college because it wasn’t what I wanted. I tried it twice and I just couldn’t do that and feel trapped in a traditional nine to five job for the rest of my life. There were limitations that I didn’t want to have,” he explained. “I wanted the opportunity to have the freedom that I wanted and be able to spoil the people I love and I don’t believe I could have done that if I went down the traditional path for “success”.”

There was a lot of doubt in Elliott’s search for success, but he kept at it. “I literally lost five thousand dollars in the beginning. Friends and family were telling me to quit, but I was so motivated to keep my freedom I kept researching and finally cracked the ecommerce code.” Now, he utilizes his knowledge with his company EJM Media to help others into the ecommerce realm starting with Amazon FBA.

Online shopping is thriving in a world of remote work, virtual learning, and pandemic-induced lockdowns. Amazon has gone above and beyond to continue to fulfill orders while others couldn’t in the beginnings of last year’s lockdown. Amazon FBA is attractive because Amazon handles everything from inventory to shipping and EJM Media assists in making sure success is there without having to learn the hard way. No trial and error, no loss, and through Eliott’s experience there is a foolproof blueprint to be a safety-net. This is not only for new sellers but for current sellers that want to scale their businesses.

EJM Media is a full service Amazon FBA agency. It does everything from product choice to PPC management, product photography, supplier outreach, packaging, listing optimization and more. EJM Media also built an Amazon growth program where they mentor and build Amazon businesses from the ground up to allow people to have the highest chance of success. Along with the growth program they guarantee five thousand dollars in sales within the first 60 days of selling. Within a year EJM has already generated over one hundred thousand dollars in sales for their clients.

“Just like any other business, an Amazon FBA business has a lot of moving parts, and only by understanding how these parts work together can you achieve predictable and sustainable results.” Building a 6-7 figure income takes time, choosing the right product, being educated about your business model, and most importantly: building the brand. Elliott says that out of all of the e-commerce options, Amazon is the best choice; the platform contributes to 50% total sales in the market and $280 billion of sales are generated by third party sellers (just regular sellers like Elliott and others in the business). His industry progress looks extremely lucrative, with society leaning more towards online and ecommerce business everyday.

“I cannot say that you won’t struggle because I did at first, but it eventually paid off. It might take some time, but anyone can have an ecommerce business,” Michael explains. For him, his success with his ecommerce business and company is less about making all of the money, but doing what he enjoys without the burden of a “real” job. “I am happy and that is all that matters to me.”
