Bhaskar Ahuja: Upgrade Supply Chain Functions With Originscale for Sustainability

Bhaskar Ahuja, owner of Thestartupbros, Aura Fuchsia, and CEO of Originscale has a solution for change to simplify and authenticate global supply chains. Making supply chains more transparent will not only benefit the consumer, but also the business. Through blockchain technology and artificial intelligence, they will be transformed to ensure authenticity, upgraded technology advancements, and tracking tools for provenance.

Sustainability and transparency in global trade and business is important, but a lot of global supply chains are outsourced without any knowledge or transparency of what is actually going on. With this in mind, Bhasker Ahuja founded Originscale. It is a SaaS (software as a service) platform “intended to bring absolute transparency to the supply chains by digitizing and democratizing critical quality information, enabling humans to make confident choices about what they want to produce and consume, and thereby creating healthy communities.” This service is revolutionary because it puts the power of commerce back into the hands of the consumer and creates D2C connections across countless sources. “Traceability is at the core of the platform and everything else revolves around it. We stitch every single critical operation on the platform and are able to recreate that in a matter of seconds which means businesses have full control of their supply chains and they exactly know what’s happening, when, and where.”

“They are able to initiate recalls, withdrawals and take corrective actions in real-time,” Bhaskar explains. “This connects the brands’ physical and digital channels, bringing their customers back into their digital channels, enabling them to create direct intimacy with customers. This results in higher customer engagement, less churn, repeat sales, lower cost of acquisition, and increased revenue.” This is nothing short of innovative and resourceful and is changing the way brands are positioned and dedicated to their customers and products.

For many, knowing the origins of a product is a necessity for religious and health reasons. When transparency is provided and supply chains are accounted for, this creates a shift into sustainable business operations and product origins. This shift will also affect direct-to-consumer markets. “Over seven percent are more likely to purchase from a DTC if the product was made in the USA. Almost thirty percent of consumers are more likely to purchase from a DTC if the product is sustainably made and twenty-five percent are more likely to purchase from a DTC if the product is made locally or has a local focus. Forty percent of manufacturers in the US are already selling directly to consumers,” Bhaskar explains. Originscale’s technology and methods of change is affecting how he supplies his other health and wellness business, Aura Fuchsia.

Aura Fuchsia is a health and supplement site that only sells traceable, ethical products that are natural. “Aura fuchsia was born out of the idea of bringing natural and traceable products to a life free from artificial ingredients, leaving the world sustainable,” he explains. With Originscale creating a supply chain map of production, all products are accounted for and properly sourced. Backed by blockchain technology, Aura Fuchsia utilizes this to keep a traceable record of products. “We use specialized technology that not only traces the origin of the finished product but also traces the end-to-end journey of the product, including its source, ingredients, manufacturing processes, quality assurances, certifications from farm to consumer.” This creates a more reliable product and trust between consumer and business.

Between entrepreneurship and innovation, Bhaskar Ahuja is creating and moving towards revolutionary practice and standard. Unsatisfied with settling and low operating standards, he decided to create the standard for the benefit of the consumer and the quality of a company. “When you have transparency it gives businesses a license to operate, if businesses won’t conform to these appropriate supply chains, consumers will lean towards the more sustainable option,” he explains. The future of the industry is leaning toward progress, high quality, and direct-to-consumer markets; through A.I. and blockchain technology all of this is possible.
