How Kale Anders Turned Language Learning Into A Massive Business In Less Than 6 Months

Kale Anders moved to Mexico in 2016 and it was around this time that he developed a curiosity for language. Kale started studying language learning theories. Also, he taught himself some of the ways you could learn a language fast. Kale shared his newfound knowledge on YouTube. Immediately, his videos went viral. It was then that he decided to start an online language learning business.

The Online Learning Niche

E-learning has become a significant trend around the world. Projections show that by 2025, the eLearning market will be worth $325 billion. Advancements in technology, such as the prevalence of smartphones, have made it convenient for people to engage in online learning. Do you want to learn how to stitch? Go to YouTube. Do you want to learn a new language? Go online!

At 25 years, Kale has made a name for himself in the online learning space. He started teaching English to Latin American people. In less than six months, he moved from 0 to over $1 million a month in revenue. Kale’s YouTube channel also grew from 0 to over 1,000,000 subscribers in less than six months.

Presently, nine out of ten startups fail within the first five years of their operation. 42% of the businesses that fail are because of the absence of a market need for their product. How did Kale achieve success when so many entrepreneurs struggle? He discovered a need in the market that giant companies could not fill.

Turning Language Learning To A Successful Business

Kale is a master of language learning. It took him three months to learn Spanish. The reason he succeeded is because of his approach to language learning. When most people try to learn a language, they get anxious about the grammar, sentence structure, and the differences between that language and their native language.

“Think about your native language. You don’t have to think about how to structure sentences or word choice, you just do it,” says Kale. According to this versatile entrepreneur, you can acquire a second language when you engage in ordinary conversations with the speakers of that language.

Kale wanted to help his peers learn a foreign language fast. He was teaching English to some of his friends in Colombia, where he presently lives. When Kale noticed there was considerable interest in language learning, he decided to launch his business via YouTube. Later on, he started his online program known as RAIO – Revolución Aprender Inglés Online.

The online program cover core topics such as principles, methods, and techniques that speed up the language learning process. Anders notes that the most integral part of the course is finding and maintaining the motivation to learn a foreign language. He insists that research has proven that a positive mood facilitates learning. If you approach language learning negatively, you will struggle.

A Disruptive Business

Kale’s business is what we would term as a disruptive business. He identified something that well-developed learning institutions were not offering. He then decided to fill up the gap in the market by establishing an online program solving the same need in a better way.

Social media played a significant role in the business’s success. Through paid ads, YouTube channels, and webinars, the business generates over 100,000 leads per month. Presently, the Academy has more than 10,000 students.

Research reveals that there are over 1.1. billion native and non-native English speakers all over the world. Due to the high volume of users, English has become the most dominant language online. A recent survey indicated that 58% of the content online is in English. Thanks to Kale’s online program, you don’t have to go to a school to learn a language. All you have to do is to register online. Still, learning a new language is not easy. You have to be motivated enough to keep at it until you succeed.

“People learn a language faster when they focus on input, such as listening or reading, rather than output, speaking or writing” says Kale.
